Denver-based yoga clothing company, be present, is launching its brand new spring collection. This launch comes during the same month in which be present began, 10 years ago.
Founded by husband and wife team, Jon and Amy Dobrin, be present has been putting out twice yearly seasonal collections for 10 years. Its first collection came in the spring of 2002. Since then, the company has adhered to its commitment to local and domestic production. "When we first started out, we decided to do our manufacturing in Colorado. It made sense - this is where we live. 10 years later we still have all of our production in the US (most of it here in Colorado), with the same cutters and sewers that made the first pair of be present pants," says founder and designer Amy Lopatin Dobrin.
The line has always been based on the seven chakra colors, and the spring 2012 line is no different. The new palette introduces brightly colored hues, which will permeate the entire collection – in both men's and women's styles. "The spring 2012 collection has its roots in the first be present collection from spring 2002, but we women's coats have grown over the years to offer more styles, fabrics, colors, art, and an entire men's line, which didn't exist 10 years ago but is now a huge part of the be present collection," says Amy.
be present is best known for it's woven yoga pants. Their proprietary fabric, called Breathe Weave? is a lightweight, quick-drying fabric with a modest amount of stretch. These styles are a unique in the yoga clothing industry as many yoga clothes are made with knitted fabrics rather than woven ones. This uniqueness has set be present apart, making the pants easily recognizable and remaining at the forefront of yoga pant styles.
The spring 2012 collection introduces new items on the men's and women's side. The men's Flow Pant is a cropped length Breathe Weave? pant that has darted knees and small back slits for mobility. The women's Breathe Cami adds an additional option to the already popular seamless collection. It is loose fitting through the torso with a textured upper body and racer back. In addition, new sun and moon artwork can be found throughout the collection, embroidered on pants and printed on tees.
be present, clothing for the yoga lifestyle, was established in Colorado in 2002 by Amy Lopatin Dobrin and Jon Dobrin. All be present clothing is proudly made in the USA. The brand remains at the forefront of the yoga apparel industry, continually designing clothing that is original and functional.
